Aim for a total near 31 using cards of the same suit, or score 30 points with three-of-a-kind. Halt the game if confident in your winning chance.

Get rid of your cards by placing them on the three center stacks, starting with an Ace and progressing to a Queen (A-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q). You can play from your stack, hand (5 cards), or discard piles (4 piles). Your turn ends when you place a card from your hand onto one of the discard piles. Only the top cards of your play stack, hand, and discard piles are playable. The King is wild and can substitute any value.

The Dutch Hearts game is exclusively in Dutch. This version uses a 32-card deck, with hearts cards being worth one penalty point, the queen of spades equaling five penalty points, and the jack of clubs amounting to two penalty points.
